All students will be photographed with their Social Studies or PE9 classes. Staff can swing by the Gym at their convenience throughout the day.

Letter from the Principal

Dear Mt. Diablo High School Parents and Students,

Welcome to Mt. Diablo High School for the 2019-2020 school year!  For those of you returning, welcome back! If you are new, welcome to our MDHS family. Our students have shown themselves to be resilient learners and this is going to be another awesome year as we learn and grow together.

At Mt. Diablo High School, our vision is to graduate students prepared for college, career, and civic responsibility. Our mission is to raise our students’ ability to read, write, and think critically through engaging, rigorous, standards-based instruction. With the talent and promise that our students possess, and a student centered faculty and staff that holds each student to high expectations, the sky will be the limit.

You are also expected read and reference our school handbook, which provides a brief summary of our school procedures, student expectations, and guidelines. You are also encouraged to activate your Homelink accounts, which provides up to date information on student grades and attendance.

We are always available to discuss school concerns with our families.  When we partner together, we create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for learning. In addition, we make it easier for our students to succeed.

We invite you to share our vision for educational success by joining other parents as one of our Parent Club volunteers, Sports Booster Club members, becoming a member of the School Site Council, participating on the English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC), or other committees. Please contact the front office if you are interested in being a member of any of these groups.  

Let's continue to raise the bar and give our students the education they deserve.

Are you interested in joining the School Site Council? We currently have 2 positions open for parents and community members for the 2019-2020 school yearParent and community voices are an important part of the Site Council. Decisions about our school programs are discussed and made at these important meetings. The School Site Council meets once a month on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:45 to 7:00 pm in the library.  If you are interested in running for election to the School Site Council, nomination forms are available starting Thursday August 15 in the office. Nominations will be accepted until 3:30 pm Wednesday August 28thPlease email Ms. Ennis at if you have any questions.



¿Estás interesado en unirte al Consejo Escolar? Actualmente tenemos 2 puestos abierto para padres y miembros de la comunidad para el año escolar 2019-2020. Las voces de los padres y la comunidad son una parte importante del Consejo Escolar. Las decisiones sobre nuestros programas escolares se discuten y se toman en estas reuniones importantes. El Consejo Escolar se reúne una vez al mes el segundo martes de cada mes de 5:45 a 7:00 pm en la biblioteca. Si está interesado en postularse para las elecciones al Consejo Escolar, los formularios de nominación están disponibles a partir del miércoles 15 de agosto en la oficina. Las nominaciones serán aceptadas hasta las 3:30 pm el miércoles 28 de agosto. Por favor envíe un correo electrónico a la Sra. Ennis a si tiene alguna pregunta.
